Directly sow outdoors in a sunny spot in early May. Sow seed 6mm (1/4″) deep, then thin to 3cm apart when the plants reach 5-8cm (2-3″) in height. Seed can also be started indoors 8 weeks before planting out. Germination is quick, occurring in 5-1 days at a temperature of 21C (71F). Grow on at 13-16C (55-6F). Pinch out young plants to stimulate bushy growth. Good plants for sunny, dry areas.
